Performs any of following tasks in laying out, cutting,
sewing, fabricating, and assembling canvas products, such as
awnings, tents, and tarpaulins: Carreis or handtrucks supplies
to work stations. Unrolls cloth from bolt, cuts cloth to
specified length with hand shears, and spreads colth on table
for pattern layout and cutting.
Stacks and marks cut cloth
according to work order. Rolls cloths into bundles.
Ties and
tags bundles.
Inspects finished prodcuts for defects, such as
tears, missing rope, or hardware, defective sewing, dirt, or
stains. Folds, ties, and packs fiinshed products. Trims threads
from machine-sewed items with shears to prepare them for
fiinshing. Sews rings, snaps, or ropes to canvas by hand, using
palm and needle. May tend grommet machnie to attach grommets to
canvas. May assist in installing awnings.

accoridng to work performed as Awning Spreader (tex. Prod.,
nec); Ring Sweer (tex. Prod., nec).
